Which water-repellent product should you choose for a stone facade ?
Waterproofing a natural stone facade prevents erosion due to weathering and water infiltration, which can weaken the structure. Our AQUAFUGE 18 product is specially designed for porous materials such as stone, brick, or concrete.
Formulated in an aqueous phase, it penetrates deeply, limiting damage caused by moisture, freezing/thawing, moss and lichen growth, and efflorescence. It provides long-lasting protection for your walls against the ravages of time.
How to apply a water repellent to a facade ?
Before application, thorough cleaning with a suitable facade cleaner is essential. Surfaces must be clean and completely dry to ensure proper absorption of the treatment.
Here are our tips for successful application :
- Carefully read the technical data sheets provided with our products.
- Preferably use a sprayer or drone for quick and even application, especially at height.
- Spray from bottom to top in vertical strips.
- Apply the product until saturated, in one or two coats depending on the porosity of the material.
- Allow to dry for several hours away from water before any exposure.
