SCALPIK® L 20 NG is an ultra-fast liquid paint stripper designed for immersion use in cold baths. Dichloromethane-free, it offers a powerful, high-performance stripping solution for ferrous and non-ferrous metals and wood. Thanks to its optimized formula, this professional paint stripper is capable of effectively removing a wide range of paints, including epoxies, polyesters, acrylics, vinyls, certain cataphoretic paints and varnishes. It is also effective on unfired paints applied to ferrous metals and aluminum.
SCALPIK® L12S is an additivated liquid stripper, specially formulated for cold-dip stripping of the most common paints and varnishes used in construction andindustry. Thanks to its action through successive layer penetration, this stripper effectively removes coatings from the treated substrate, even when they are multi-layered or strongly adherent.
When used in a cold bath, SCALPIK® L12S requires no heating, simplifying the process while offering excellent efficiency. This non-saturating product allows continuous use: simply remove any paint residues that have fallen to the bottom of the tank and adjust the level to maintain the performance of the stripping bath.
STRIPAC NI BASE ECO is an immersion paint stripper specifically formulated for stripping aluminum. This cold bath works effectively at room temperature, in conjunction with the STRIPAC additive, to remove welding oxides, impurities and a wide range of paints: epoxy, polyester, glycerophthalic, vinyl, acrylic, lasures, varnishes, primers, etc. Thanks to its concentrated formula, STRIPAC NI BASE ECO works by dissolving resins and altering mineral pigments, while preserving aluminum’s corrosion resistance. It is non-aggressive on sensitive substrates such as steel, aluminum and wood, making it an ideal solution for delacquering aluminum profiles.
STRIPAC BASE ECO is an immersion paint stripper designed to effectively remove coatings applied to steel, aluminum and wood substrates. Used exclusively in combination with the STRIPAC additive, this cold-bath stripper works at room temperature, offering a reliable, high-performance solution for the treatment of a wide variety of paints.
This powerful stripper dissolves resins and denatures mineral pigments, enabling the stripping of epoxy, polyester, glycerophtalic, vinyl and acrylic paints, woodstains, varnishes, primers and more. Its non-aggressive formulation preserves the integrity of substrates such as metal, wood or aluminum, making it an ideal choice for industrial or renovation applications.
STRIPAN MO2 ECO is an acid dip stripper designed for cold-bath stripping of liquid and powder paints from steel and aluminum surfaces. Its formulation based on organic acids gives it highly active stripping properties, even on resistant coatings such as glycerophthalic, polyurethane, pure epoxy and polyester epoxy paints.
This ready-to-use product is particularly suited to industrial applications requiring fast, effective stripping of ferrous materials, without altering the quality of the substrate.
SCALPIK® L13S is a chlorinated liquid paint stripper designed for cold-bath immersion stripping of all types of paint and varnish. Thanks to its liquid formulation, it works by deep penetration of the various layers, causing them to peel off without altering the substrate.

What is cold or room-temperature bath stripping ?
In industrial applications, cold or room-temperature bath stripping refers to a surface cleaning or treatment process carried out at ambient temperature, without the need for heating. This typically involves immersing parts or components in a specially formulated chemical bath designed to remove coatings, contaminants or impurities from the surface of substrates. These baths contain chemicals, such as strippers, which dissolve or break down unwanted layers, enabling effective cleaning and surface preparation for subsequent treatments.
This type of treatment is widely used across multiple industrial sectors—aeronautics, automotive, chemical manufacturing, metalworking, and more—where meticulous surface preparation is critical to ensuring the quality, adhesion, and performance of the final product.
How do I strip paint ?
There are several techniques for stripping paint, varnish or lacquer, including spraying, immersion, dipping or manual application. The choice of method depends on the surface and the type of coating to be removed.
Stripping paint from metal
Several SCALP products are highly effective for removing coatings from metal:
- EPOXY 40 ECO: Formulated to remove thin-walled paints such as epoxy polyester, polyester, acrylics, vinyls, and all unfired coatings on ferrous metals (steel, cast iron) and aluminium.
- SCALPIK L 300: A methylene-chloride-free liquid paint stripper that removes powder coatings, epoxy, polyester, and varnish from steel and aluminium. Particularly recommended for correcting defects like paint runs.
Stripping paint from wood
For wooden surfaces, our strippers are designed to remove a wide range of coatings efficiently:
- SCALP DMC 74 LIQUID: An alkaline paint stripper specifically developed for wood. It can be used ready-to-use or diluted up to 50% for gentler stripping or certain applications.
- SCALPIK L 20NG: A dichloromethane-free liquid stripper for ultra-fast immersion stripping. Ideal for removing coatings such as epoxy polyester, acrylics, vinyls, cataphoretic paints, and some varnishes from wood.
After stripping, we recommend neutralising and degreasing the surface to prepare it for subsequent treatments, ensuring optimal adhesion and finish quality.
