SCALP SEAL is a refined petroleum-based anti-evaporation oil, specifically designed for use in chemical pickling baths. During stripping, paint strippers have a natural tendency to evaporate, resulting in product loss and reduced efficiency. SCALP SEAL solves this problem by forming a protective layer on the bath surface, greatly limiting evaporation.
Thanks to its high density, this product rises to the surface of the bath and acts as a physical barrier, preventing vapors from escaping. It is important to note that SCALP SEAL does not interact chemically with the paint stripper: it has no activating or penetrating properties. It acts only as a passive stabilizer, maintaining the stripper’s effectiveness over time.
SCALP SEAL is a ready-to-use product, easy to apply and compatible with most industrial bath stripping processes.
SCALPROTEC 31 is a protective oil for metal surfaces, formulated withcorrosion inhibitors dissolved in mineral oil. It provides temporary anti-corrosion protection for 3 to 9 months, depending on storage conditions.
The product is designed to provide effective protection for all types of metal: cast iron, steel, aluminum alloys, magnesium alloys, copper and zinc. SCALPROTEC 31 is widely used in industrial sectors such as theautomotive, aeronautics andoil industries, notably to protect spare parts, metal pipes (interiors) and sheet metal before stamping.
Ready-to-use, this anti-corrosion treatment is easily applied by immersion, spraying, brushing or brushing.
What Is the role of oil in a pickling process ?
Oils play a crucial role in industrial pickling processes. They serve several important functions:
- Lubrication: Oils reduce friction and wear on metal parts, helping to protect equipment during processing.
- Corrosion protection: By forming a thin protective layer on the metal surface, oils prevent the formation of rust and other corrosion-related damage.
- Enhanced cleaning: Oils help chemicals improve wetting and penetration more effectively, improving the overall efficiency of the pickling process.
- Temperature control: In pickling processes involving hot baths, oils help regulate bath temperature, minimising thermal stress on metal components.
What Is anti-evaporation oil used for ?
Anti-evaporation oil is added to pickling baths to minimise the evaporation of bath liquids, reducing the release of vapours into the workspace. This helps maintain the concentration and composition of the bath over time, extending its lifespan and reducing the need for frequent replacements.
By ensuring a consistent concentration of active components, anti-evaporation oil also helps maintain the efficiency and reliability of the pickling process, delivering better and more repeatable results.
