What is a passivating product ?
A passivating product is applied to a metal substrate to form a protective layer that inhibits corrosion. This protective layer insulates the metal surface, preventing oxidation and corrosion. Passivating products are generally used on metals such as steel and aluminum.
These products are applied by dipping, immersion or spraying, and are used in the manufacture of automotive parts, in the chemical industry and in shipbuilding.
What is a neutralizing product ?
A neutralizing agent is used to neutralize chemical residues present on the substrate after stripping. These residues can be acidic or alkaline, depending on the paint stripper used and the substrate treated. The neutralizing product is therefore added to adjust the pH of the residues, making them less reactive before disposal.
