Ideal for professional stripping companies, furniture restoration workshops, and woodworking industries seeking a high-performance, reliable solution.
SCALPIK® L 20 NG is an ultra-fast liquid paint stripper designed for cold-bath immersion. Free from dichloromethane (DCM), it provides a high-performance, professional solution for stripping paints and varnishes from ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as wood. Its optimised formula effectively removes a wide range of coatings, including epoxies, polyesters, acrylics, vinyls, and certain electro-coatings (e.g., Cataphoresis). SCALPIK® L 20 NG is also suitable for unfired coatings applied to metals such as steel and aluminium.
SCALPIK® L12S is an enhanced liquid stripper specially formulated for cold-bath stripping of common paints and varnishes used in industrial and manufacturing environments. Its layer-by-layer penetration action effectively removes coatings from the substrate, even when they are multi-layered or strongly adhered.
When used in a cold bath, SCALPIK® L12S requires no heating, simplifying the process while providing excellent efficiency. This non-saturating product allows continuous use: simply remove paint residues that settle at the bottom of the tank and adjust the bath level to maintain optimal performance.
STRIPAC NI BASE ECO is an immersion paint stripper specifically designed for aluminum. This cold-bath product works effectively at room temperature, in combination with the STRIPAC additive, to remove welding residue (oxides), surface impurities, and a wide range of coatings including epoxy, polyester, alkyd (or glycerophthalic), vinyl, acrylic, lasures, varnishes, and primers.
Thanks to its concentrated formula, STRIPAC NI BASE ECO dissolves resins and modifies mineral pigments while preserving aluminum’s corrosion resistance. It is gentle on sensitive substrates such as steel, aluminum, and wood, making it an ideal solution for delacquering aluminum profiles.
STRIPAC BASE ECO is an immersion paint stripper designed for the effective removal of coatings from steel, aluminum, and wood substrates. Used exclusively in combination with the STRIPAC additive, this cold-bath stripper operates at room temperature, providing a reliable, high-performance solution for a wide range of paints.
This powerful formula dissolves resins and alters mineral pigments, allowing the removal of epoxy, polyester, alkyd (or glycerophthalic), vinyl, and acrylic paints, woodstains, varnishes, primers, and more. Its non-aggressive composition preserves the integrity of substrates such as metal, wood, or aluminum, making it ideal for industrial or renovation applications.
STRIPAN MO2 ECO is an acid-based immersion stripper designed for cold-bath removal of liquid and powder coatings from steel and aluminum surfaces. Its organic acid formulation provides highly active stripping properties, even on stubborn coatings such as Alkyd (glycerophthalic), Polyurethane, Pure Epoxy, and Powder Coatings (polyester-epoxy).
This ready-to-use product is ideal for industrial applications requiring fast, efficient stripping of ferrous materials, while preserving the integrity of the substrate.
SCALPIK® L13S is a chlorinated liquid paint stripper designed for cold-bath immersion stripping of all types of paints and varnishes. Its liquid formulation enables deep penetration through multiple layers, causing coatings to lift and peel away without damaging the underlying substrate.
This cold-bath stripper is suitable for a wide range of materials, including wood, metal, steel and aluminium. It is ideal for industrial sectors requiring powerful, consistent stripping performance, even on complex parts or hard-to-reach surfaces.
EPOXY 40 ECO is an epoxy immersion paint stripper designed to efficiently remove all thin-film liquid and powder coatings. Its optimised blend of dichloromethane (DCM) and oxygenated solvents in an acidic medium makes it perfectly suited for cold-bath stripping on ferrous metals and aluminium. Post-stripping treatment is mandatory to prevent oxidation.
This ready-to-use, non-flammable epoxy stripper delivers outstanding performance on coatings such as epoxy polyester, polyester, acrylic, vinyl, and soft/uncured paints. Highly effective even on hardened resins, it ensures complete, uniform cleaning of metal surfaces.
What is cold or room-temperature bath stripping ?
In industrial applications, cold or room-temperature bath stripping refers to a surface cleaning or treatment process carried out at ambient temperature, without the need for heating. This typically involves immersing parts or components in a specially formulated chemical bath designed to remove coatings, contaminants or impurities from the surface of substrates. These baths contain chemicals, such as strippers, which dissolve or break down unwanted layers, enabling effective cleaning and surface preparation for subsequent treatments.
This type of treatment is widely used across multiple industrial sectors—aeronautics, automotive, chemical manufacturing, metalworking, and more—where meticulous surface preparation is critical to ensuring the quality, adhesion, and performance of the final product.
How do I strip paint ?
There are several techniques for stripping paint, varnish or lacquer, including spraying, immersion, dipping or manual application. The choice of method depends on the surface and the type of coating to be removed.
Stripping paint from metal
Several SCALP products are highly effective for removing coatings from metal:
- EPOXY 40 ECO: Formulated to remove thin-walled paints such as epoxy polyester, polyester, acrylics, vinyls, and all unfired coatings on ferrous metals (steel, cast iron) and aluminium.
- SCALPIK L 300: A methylene-chloride-free liquid paint stripper that removes powder coatings, epoxy, polyester, and varnish from steel and aluminium. Particularly recommended for correcting defects like paint runs.
Stripping paint from wood
For wooden surfaces, our strippers are designed to remove a wide range of coatings efficiently:
- SCALP DMC 74 LIQUID: An alkaline paint stripper specifically developed for wood. It can be used ready-to-use or diluted up to 50% for gentler stripping or certain applications.
- SCALPIK L 20NG: A dichloromethane-free liquid stripper for ultra-fast immersion stripping. Ideal for removing coatings such as epoxy polyester, acrylics, vinyls, cataphoretic paints, and some varnishes from wood.
After stripping, we recommend neutralising and degreasing the surface to prepare it for subsequent treatments, ensuring optimal adhesion and finish quality.
