SCALPEX® EKO’R
SCALPEX® EKO’R is a biodegradable, gel-based façade stripper designed to remove paints, textured coatings (e.g., heavily layered coatings), waterproofing films, and thin layers from plaster, concrete, stone, and brick. Its gel texture makes it easy to apply using a roller, brush, or pneumatic sprayer. Depending on the type and thickness of the coating, SCALPEX® EKO’R begins working in as little as 40 minutes.
- Low VOC content: < 600 g/L
- Readily biodegradable according to OECD 301F
- 80–90% biodegradation within 28 days

- ~40 minutes on thin films
- 50 minutes–1 hr 20 min on waterproofing coatings
- 2 hr 20 min–4 hr 20 min on RPE
- Non-flammable
- Waste category: non-hazardous (Check local authority guidelines for disposal)
- Made from biodegradable raw materials
- Mix the product thoroughly before use.
- Apply a generous, even layer of SCALPEX® EKO’R. Leave it to act until the coating has fully softened (refer to indicative times above).
- Rinse thoroughly with high-pressure water. Ensure all residues are carefully collected and removed.
- Suitable substrates: plaster, concrete, stone, brick
- Application temperature: +0°C to +50°C (Avoid frost)
- Formulated from biodegradable raw materials
- May affect certain substrates such as rubber, plastics, or specific metals. Always carry out a compatibility test beforehand and protect sensitive materials where necessary.
