SCALP ANTI-SALPÊTRE

SCALP ANTI-SALTPETER is a professional-grade treatment designed to eliminate saltpetre deposits on walls and prevent them from returning. Its triple-action formula—water-repellent, strengthening, and bactericidal—deeply treats affected mineral surfaces such as concrete, brick, stone, and plaster.

Saltpetre/Efflorescence, caused by rising damp and nitrate-rich materials, weakens wall integrity and prevents long-lasting finishes (paint, wallpaper, decorative coatings) from adhering properly. SCALP ANTI-SALTPETER acts directly on the root causes by :

  • Blocking moisture through its water-repellent properties
  • Reinforcing weakened substrates
  • Neutralising the nitrifying bacteria and stabilising salts

Ideal before any renovation work or decorative finish, this treatment ensures a clean, stable, and durable surface ready to receive coatings without the risk of flaking or deterioration.

  • Film-forming protection against saltpetre
  • Preventive long-term treatment
  • Forms a clear, transparent film
  • Cleans and stabilises surfaces prior to renovation
  • Bactericidal, water-repellent and consolidating action
  • Strengthens plaster, concrete, cement, and similar substrates
  • Water-based formulation
  • 2-in-1 product: saves time and labour
  • VOC-free
  1. Remove all existing finishes (paint, wallpaper, etc.) from the affected area.
  2. Brush away all salt efflorescence, dust, and traces of microorganisms.
  3. Stir SCALP ANTI-SALTPETER thoroughly before use.
  4. Apply generously from bottom to top in two coats, applied wet-on-wet or spaced 15 minutes apart, until the substrate is fully saturated.
  5. Allow 48 hours before applying any coating or paint.
  • Allow a minimum of 48 hours before covering with paint or a decorative coating. If saltpetre reappears within this period, repeat the treatment.
  • Suitable for damp environments such as cellars, basements, and garages.
  • Can be used on all mineral surfaces affected by saltpetre: brick, concrete, natural stone, or plaster.
  • For best results, treat walls as soon as white crystalline deposits appear to prevent further spread.
