SCALPFUGE COLOR is a premium, coloured water-repellent treatment designed to renovate, mineralise, protect, and consolidate porous surfaces. Perfect for roof waterproofing, wall protection, and exterior flooring, it penetrates deeply to form a durable, breathable layer that enhances colour and restores the natural mineral look of substrates.
This 4-in-1 solution not only waterproofs but also strengthens materials, reduces water ingress, limits freeze/thaw damage, prevents urban pollution and biological growth, and improves overall durability. Its mineralising action consolidates porous surfaces, extending the lifespan of treated materials.
Available in 11 shades (White, Pearl Grey, Anthracite, Ecru, Ochre, Sienna, Oriental Red, Brick Red, Fire Red, Slate, and a Colourless “Wet Look”), SCALPFUGE COLOR is suitable for a wide range of mineral surfaces including concrete, tiles, slate, and block paving, providing both aesthetic and functional enhancement.
SCALP ANTI-TACHES 07 is a colourless treatment providing oil-repellent waterproofing for floor surfaces and porous materials exposed to liquids, staining, and everyday contamination.
Its advanced penetrating formula creates an invisible, long-lasting protective barrier that prevents water and oil infiltration while preserving the natural appearance and finish of the substrate. Once dry, the treatment remains completely invisible and does not alter the surface texture or colour.
Designed for both horizontal and vertical applications — including terraces, floors, façades and walls — this versatile solution is suitable for a wide range of materials such as paving, terracotta tiles, block paving, reconstituted stone, marble, concrete, cement, natural stone and wood.
SCALP ANTI-TACHES EM is a professional-grade treatment designed to restore the appearance of porous materials while providing long-lasting protection against stains and moisture. This high-performance product enhances colour and gives surfaces a durable “wet look” (colour-enhanced) finish, all without forming a film.
Acting as an invisible barrier, it protects against water penetration, grease and oil stains, and spills from everyday liquids such as wine, coffee, or tannin. It also prevents the infiltration of urban and organic pollution. SCALP ANTI-TACHES EM helps inhibit the growth of microorganisms, reducing the appearance of green deposits, algae, and organic residue on treated surfaces.
Particularly suited to porous horizontal surfaces, it is ideal for roofs, terraces, balconies, driveways, pool surrounds, exterior steps, and more. It can be easily applied to a wide range of materials including tiles, block paving, terracotta, natural and reconstituted stone, marble, cement, and concrete. SCALP ANTI-TACHES EM can also be applied by drone—an efficient solution for large or difficult-to-reach areas, ensuring fast, uniform, and safe application.
SCALP SOLAR ACTIV’ is an innovative, eco-friendly photocatalytic coating designed to transform exterior surface maintenance. Using sunlight, its UV-activated technology breaks down organic and biological dirt, keeping walls, facades, and other surfaces cleaner for longer.
The invisible, breathable film preserves the natural appearance of substrates while actively preventing micro-organism growth, including algae, moss, lichen, and more. By limiting surface soiling, SCALP SOLAR ACTIV’ reduces the need for frequent cleaning, saving time, water, and effort, while cutting down the use of harsh cleaning chemicals.
What is a water-repellent terrace product ?
A water-repellent terrace product is designed to protect outdoor surfaces from water infiltration. It works by forming an impermeable barrier that prevents water from penetrating porous materials such as stone, concrete, terracotta, or paving stones.
Waterproofing helps to preserve the integrity of outdoor floors over the long term: it prevents cracks, flaking, and deformation, and significantly limits the formation of moss, mold, and dirt. By preventing moisture from seeping in, a waterproofing product extends the life of your deck while making it easier to maintain on a daily basis.
At SCALP, we have developed a range of waterproofing solutions for terraces, suitable for all types of materials and needs: invisible protection, wet-look finish, stain resistance, etc.
How to choose the right water repellent for your deck ?
Match the product to the type of surface
To ensure effective treatment, it is essential to choose a water repellent that is compatible with the material of your deck. The level of porosity, exposure to the elements, and the desired aesthetic finish must all be taken into account.
Which water repellent product should you choose for porous terraces ?
SCALP ANTI-STAIN 07: Ideal for porous materials such as travertine, natural stone, terracotta, or concrete, SCALP ANTI-STAIN 07 is a ready-to-use water and oil repellent that provides effective protection against water, grease, and stains.
Completely colorless, it does not form a film on the surface and preserves the natural appearance of the substrate. It penetrates deep into the materials for long-lasting protection. It can also be applied to terraces, facades, walls, and outdoor paving.
Which product should you choose to waterproof a terrace with a wet look ?
SCALP ANTI-TACHES EM: If you are looking for a more striking aesthetic effect, SCALP ANTI-TACHES EM offers a wet finish that permanently enhances the natural colors of your floor, while providing effective water and oil repellent protection.
Perfect for enhancing paving stones, natural stones, terracotta, or outdoor tiles, it restores luster to surfaces that have been tarnished by time. It provides effective protection against water infiltration and stains, while adding an aesthetic dimension that is appreciated on contemporary or traditional terraces.
How to apply a water repellent to a deck ?
Here are the key steps for applying a water repellent optimally :
- Prepare the surface : Clean the deck thoroughly with a broom, vacuum cleaner, or suitable cleaning product (avoid high-pressure cleaners). The surface must be clean, dry, and sound.
- Protect the surrounding area : Cover walls, plants, and furniture to avoid accidental splashes.
- Choose favorable weather : Apply in dry weather, with no rain or frost forecast within 24 hours. Ideal temperature: between 10°C and 25°C.
- Apply the product : Use a sprayer, roller, or brush. Apply in cross layers, without overloading, until the surface is saturated.
- Allow to dry : Allow to dry without walking on or exposing to water for the recommended time (usually 24 hours).
- Apply a second coat if necessary : For some very porous surfaces, a second coat may be recommended.
- Clean tools : Clean immediately after application with water..
When should you apply a water repellent to your deck ?
Ideally, you should apply a water repellent in spring or summer, when temperatures are moderate and weather conditions are more stable. Avoid rainy, windy, or frosty days.
Before applying, check the specific conditions of use indicated on the technical data sheet for the product you have chosen.
What maintenance is required after applying a water repellent treatment ?
To prolong the effectiveness of your water repellent, a few simple steps are all it takes :
- Clean the deck regularly with a soft brush or broom.
- Avoid using high-pressure cleaners, which can damage the protective coating.
- Use a mild cleaner compatible with water-repellent surfaces to remove accidental stains.
- Periodically check the water-repellent capacity of your floor (test with a little water: if it penetrates, it is time to renew the treatment).
How often should I renew the water-repellent treatment on my deck ?
It is essential to renew the water repellent treatment on your deck regularly to ensure lasting protection against moisture, weather, and dirt. But how often should a water repellent product be reapplied? The answer depends on several factors: the type of surface treated, the climatic conditions in your area, UV exposure, and also the amount of traffic on your deck.
If in doubt, a simple test can be used to check whether the treatment is still effective: pour a little water onto the surface. If it is absorbed instead of beading, reapply the treatment.
